The Full Story

At the heart of Rebecca Krug Art is a belief in the power of creativity to restore, inspire, and
connect. This site is home to G Squared Studios, my mixed-media process art space, and
Education and Behavioral Solutions, LLC, my therapy practice rooted in relational and
trauma-informed care. I have worked with the group practice at Collaborative Counseling, LLC starting the Lakeville Office as an outpatient therapist since December of 2016.
Whether you are here to explore begin your healing journey in traditional therapy original, join a
therapeutic art class, or work one on one in a new creative way —you are in the right
place.

Rebecca works from a client-centered and strengths-based approach. She believes each person is an expert onto themselves and has the power to heal. Her goal is to empower each person on their journey of recovery and wellness through healing and self-discovery. She believes that each session involves excellent therapy as well as the building of solid skills to better manage and lead a balanced life. One of her goals for each session is for you to leave with tangible skills that can be used immediately.

Rebecca’s areas of interest are Anxiety, Recovery and Chemical Dependency Struggles, Self-Awareness, Shame and Guilt, Vulnerability, Self-Compassion, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, ADHD, Depression, Chronic Illness and Autoimmune Illness, and Change and Growth. She works collaboratively with Psychiatry. She has experience with gender issues and has a profound respect for those struggling with identity. She also enjoys working with grief and loss, change/transition, shame issues, weight/body issues, and life balance. Her family work includes teens, parenting, and adjustment. She is available for individual sessions, family, and group therapy. She prefers to work with ages 14 and older. Rebecca works from a Relational and Narrative School of Therapy, using CBT, ACT, and DBT including therapeutic arts often in her work with clients.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, Rebecca integrates therapeutic art principles and process art into her work as a healing medium. She offers creative, trauma-informed experiences that allow individuals to explore emotions, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with self through the act of making. Her approach to art is grounded in the belief that the creative process—rather than the final product—can be a powerful tool for insight, resilience, and transformation. She offers both individual and group opportunities for therapeutic art-making, particularly for those navigating anxiety, grief, or identity work.

Rebecca provides individual and group supervision for LAMFTs and LPCs in the State of MN seeking clinical licensure hours.

Rebecca has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked with acute populations, in residential treatment and with psychiatric services, and in the community mental health outpatient setting.

When not working, she loves to be in her art studio at 411 Water Street S., baking, or with her family. If not doing one of those things, she can be found in a coffee shop with a drawing pad in her hands or walking with her dog, Luke P. Krug.
